As a Customer Enablement Manager, you will help enterprise customers turn Asana into an effective way of working across their organization. You will own a portfolio of customers, providing a variety of enablement activities, including discovery, workflow consultation, strategic enablement, and scalable education, to accelerate adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Services to understand customer priorities, identify barriers to adoption, and recommend enablement strategies that help teams adopt new workflows and AI-enabled ways of working. Through strong facilitation, product expertise, and customer insight, you will help customers realize greater value from Asana while contributing to retention and expansion.
This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you’re interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you’ll achieve
- Trusted Advisory: Develop a deep understanding of Asana, customer business priorities, and how teams work today. Use discovery and product expertise to recommend workflows and enablement approaches that improve adoption, efficiency, and ways of working.
- Strategic Enablement Initiatives: Independently manage time-bound customer engagements within your portfolio of customers, from discovery and planning through delivery and follow-through. Partner with CSMs and account teams to connect enablement activities to clear customer objectives and adoption outcomes.
- Scaled Training: Facilitate workflow consultations, workshops, customer programs, and scalable learning experiences for audiences ranging from end users to champions and business leaders. Tailor the approach based on customer needs rather than relying on one-size-fits-all training.
- Metrics/KRs: Use customer engagement, adoption, and efficacy signals to assess whether enablement is creating meaningful behavior change. Adjust your approach based on data and contribute insights that help improve CEM programs and playbooks.
- Customer partnerships: Identify opportunities to strengthen adoption, expand use cases, and address risks. Proactively share relevant customer insights and potential growth opportunities with CSMs and account teams.
- Support workflow and AI transformation: Help customers adopt new ways of working, including AI-enabled workflows, by translating capabilities into practical use cases and behavior change across teams.
About you
- 4+ years of experience in customer enablement, customer success, consulting, implementation, learning and development, or a related customer-facing role, ideally within SaaS.
- Experience leading customer engagements that combine discovery, consultation, facilitation, and enablement to drive adoption or behavior change.
- Strong project and portfolio management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple customer engagements, competing priorities, and stakeholders.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences ranging from end users and champions to senior business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and consultative skills; you are comfortable asking thoughtful questions, synthesizing customer needs, and recommending a path forward rather than simply responding to requests.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how adoption, customer value, retention, and expansion are connected.
- Strong product and technical curiosity, with an interest in helping organizations adopt new workflows, technology, and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to work effectively across Customer Success, Sales, Services, Support, and other teams.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, taking ownership of ambiguous problems, and continuously improving how you work.
- Customer-centered and outcomes-oriented, with a strong desire to understand whether your work is creating measurable impact.
- Collaborative teammate who actively shares learnings, contributes to playbooks and best practices, and helps improve how the broader CEM team operates.
