Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies – from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups – use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Finance Operations (FinOps) team is Stripe’s global backbone, dedicated to delivering and continuously improving essential business services—billing and collections, procurement, monetization, payroll, and travel and expenses. We drive company value through data-driven insights, operational rigor, and a relentless focus on excellence. As strategic partners, we shape business decisions, champion technology-enabled solutions, own operational strategy, and collaborate across global functions to enable Stripe’s growth.
The Monetization and Contract Success (MACS) team sits within Monetization Services and helps Stripe execute complex commercial agreements efficiently and accurately. The team partners across the deal and contract lifecycle to reduce friction, improve deal velocity, support scalable commercial constructs, and deliver a seamless user experience after contract execution.
What you’ll do
We’re looking for a Monetization and Contract Success (MACS) Specialist to join our growing team. In this high-impact role, you will guide complex commercial agreements through pre-signature review from a supportability lens – helping ensure that contractual terms are clear, operationally feasible, and can be accurately implemented in Stripe’s systems. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to resolve issues, strengthen controls, improve workflows, and develop scalable solutions that increase deal-cycle efficiency and reduce downstream user friction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert across the commercial contract lifecycle, answering questions and advising deal owners on the supportability elements of sales contract reviews
- Review and interpret commercial and legal terms, identify operational requirements and potential risks, and prepare agreements or deal inputs for review under established guidelines.
- Partner with Deal Pricing, Deal Strategy, Commercial Legal, Business Practices, Accounting, Billing, Tax, Sales Operations, Engineering, and account teams to align commercial objectives with operational capabilities.
- Review and, where appropriate, advise on commercial terms, balancing user needs, Stripe’s objectives, operational feasibility, and risk.
- Own the feedback loop with Pricing Activation for accurate and timely onboarding of custom contracts and pricing terms into Stripe’s billing and financial systems.
- Manage contract and deal workflows in relevant systems, maintain clear documentation, and provide proactive communication on status, dependencies, and next steps.
- Support the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including inquiries, escalations, implementation troubleshooting, billing-related issues, and post-execution corrections.
- Build scalable, auditable processes and controls that balance and improve contract quality, activation accuracy, deal velocity, and the user experience.
- Analyze operational data and recurring issues to identify root causes, measure performance, and recommend process or system improvements.
- Partner with Engineering and internal systems teams to translate operational needs into durable tooling, automation, and workflow enhancements.
- Support internal and external audits, key programs, and other cross-functional initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to building a high-performing team culture grounded in sound judgment, continuous improvement, accountability, and excellent stakeholder service.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, investigate complex issues, and make sound, well-reasoned decisions.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of work with meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and consistent follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly, earn trust quickly, and represent Stripe effectively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success partnering across functions and balancing commercial objectives, operational constraints, user experience, and risk.
- A solution-oriented mindset and a track record of establishing best practices, improving processes, and delivering results in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate thoughtfully when established frameworks do not fully address a situation.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or another technology-driven industry.
- Experience with custom pricing, contract activation, billing implementation, or post-signature contract operations.
